custom pet portraits prices dog paintings

Payment & terms:

Payment can be accepted via Etsy, direct bank transfer, cleared cheque (UK only) or PayPal. I will require a small, non refundable deposit before commencing work, the balance is due once you have viewed and approved a watermarked photo of the portrait by e-mail.
If you aren't fully satisfied upon receiving the portrait, I offer a money back guarantee (minus postage costs), upon the safe return of the artwork within 20 days.

Please let me know if you'd rather I don't share the image of your artwork in my galleries on this website or on my Facebook page before a specific date, as I may  do so, unless I hear otherwise beforehand.

Photographic References:

To get a great painting or sketch, I need good quality photographs to work from, ideally taken with high resolution, mainly head and shoulders. I do realise that often there are circumstances where better photos are no longer a possibility and it may well be possible to work with what you've already got. Sadly, more than half of my portraits are posthumous. Just E-mail your photos to me and I'll let you know if I think I can work from them.

How long will it take to complete a portrait?

Pencil crayon portraits and watercolours are usually completed in just one or two sittings (unless it's more than one subject), waiting times are very dependent on how many orders I have in at any particular time. Christmas portrait orders should be placed as early as possible due to high demand ...please start thinking Christmas in August because from past experience, it gets extremely busy.

Please note, paintings commence in queuing order upon receipt of full payment or deposit and good reference photographs.

Portraits in the UK will be sent by Royal Mail first class 'signed for', or guaranteed next day delivery (Monday to Thursday only).

International items will be sent by Royal Mail, International tracked and signed.

Generic notes for customers outside the UK:
International customers are responsible for all fees associated with shipping to their respective countries. Orders shipped to countries outside of the UK may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond the original delivery estimates.
